Hello!

I'm an Assistant Professor of Technical Communication at Utah Valley University. I research networked communication, organizational rhetoric, technical editing, and digital rhetoric. I am committed to the idea that strong technical and professional communication can reach across disciplines and strengthen communities. You can find some of my work with the research groups Corpus and Repository of Writing (Crow) and with Research in Editing and Publishing (REAP) or in my Research page.

My teaching experience includes a variety of writing courses in technical, multimedia, and first-year writing.

I received a PhD from Purdue University. I also have an MA from Brigham Young University studying Cold War literature and spent some years managing a team for the Microsoft Partner Network.

I read all the time, have a substantial comic book collection, and can go on for hours about classic movies. Ask me about my favorite horror movie sometime (but be prepared for a long answer).
